Barn Book

I have been wanting this book for about a year now. I love that the quilt can tell a story. My favorite barn is in the upper left corner. It matches my icon on facebook. I look forward to sewing an approximation to the quilt on the cover.

1st Thursday of the month

When it is the 1st Thursday of the month, you will find me with a group of ladies who like to quilt and pray. We are a unique assemblage of women. More than half of us are teachers or work in a classroom. We all are over the age of 40. We have someone new at almost every meeting. We have been doing this for 5 months. It is never the same group of people. We always tie and pray, sometimes for people we know, but most times for people we don't. July's meeting produced 6 quilts.

New Tool

I saw this new craft "tool" on Martha Stewart's noon time show. It's a board that helps you score paper for easy folding. It is used to make cards, envelopes and boxes. I made the box on the right...it holds a prize for Rev Roo...can't wait to show her tomorrow...

Wedding Ring Quilt

super stealth...will post a pic after Tuesday...you're gonna love it

So here is the lap quilt I was working on just 2 days before I left for the wedding. My mom finished the binding that I had started on the train/bus/train ride. Amy loved it but didn't want it to get dirty so she kept it at home. I was so busy with other stuff that I failed to get a picture of it completed. I will try and get one before too long...cool huh?
